A wide variety of different objects, drawings, pictures and models show our diverse way of working and thinking. They express different themes and aspects in architecture that interest us.

We believe architecture has to be seen as part of a process, a permanent evolution. Every project starts from the expression of a certain new wish or desire, but is always and above all influenced by its context -built or not built-, its past and its contemporary significance. Every project or intervention adds a new layer to this history and thus becomes part of it. Hereby we appreciate the visibility of time and layers, the dialogue between different matters, different ambiences, the apparent simplicity of a well-considered vision and structural honesty.

This often results in pronounced architectural characters. Where well chosen materials define a specific building identity. Buildings with specific forms, formed by the context & the building implantation. Beautiful at its own and meaningful in its context. But as well in humble buildings, that almost seem to blend in with their surroundings. That feel familiar, solid and timeless.

We search for the right balance and proportion between built volumes and the voids in between. The buildings interact and get shaped by their mutual relation. Together they form a unique ensemble that is both serene and surprising. Architecture does not only create space, it also makes moments. Expected-ones within a well defined framework, or unexpected moments within a looser context. We like to create places for meeting and interaction, a lively architecture.

We seek joy! And amazement, and small surprises. The building opens up and creates different perspectives. Old an new relate: once they connect, then they leave a distance in between. Boundaries get blured. Spaces, inside and outside, merge. We try to practice all of this on all levels of the project. From the first idea to the final technical drawing. From the creation of an open and free space, to the invention of a specific tile pattern that relates to the existing interior.
